Carr and his team have constructed numerous aquaponic systems throughout Orlando that serve as a source of free food for students in need. These systems integrate aquaculture and hydroponics to create a sustainable means of food production by minimizing water consumption, maximizing productivity and nutrient density. They have also implemented the first aeroponic towers at University of Central Florida and are continuing to expand upon this endeavor.
