Offering a sustainable alternative to societys current linear model of production, closed loop systems minimize waste while maximizing productivity & efficiency. Through channeling the waste product of one endeavor to serve as a resource that fuels the progression of another, these models can offer innovative solutions for production, consumption and disposal of goods. The Model above illustrates a prototype design for the development of a closed loop social enterprise that can help boost local economies while fostering environmental restoration, community development and food security.
